Rockland is one of our favorite Maine travel destinations. The mid-coast area of Maine makes for a great day of traveling
during the summer months. Rockland, Rockport, and Camden are all awesome places to relax and enjoy some of the
best scenery Maine has to offer. Each time we visit Maine, regardless of where we choose to stay, we are sure to spend a
day or two traveling up and down this portion of the coast, and usually end the day in Rockland enjoying the sunset from
the light house. Rockport has an awesome little park where you can throw down a blanket and take a nap, with the sound
of the ocean lulling you to sleep. And the park in Camden offers an elevated view of the quaint harbor and fancy ships
moored there. And each summer Rockland hosts the Maine Lobster Festival in beautiful Harbor Park. Not only do people
from Maine travel to Rockland for this celebration, but people from all over the world as well. If you visit Maine in the
summer, be sure to travel to this section of the coast and enjoy all it has to offer.
